After attending a 1 AM Conclave, held at a secret location in The Bronx, endurance athletes dressed as gang members recreate the escape route from the iconic film. The race, which is unofficial, takes runners through the neon-drenched streets of the Bronx, Harlem, Times Square and the Bowery before crossing over the Brooklyn Bridge and ma
After attending a 1 AM Conclave, held at a secret location in The Bronx, endurance athletes dressed as gang members recreate the escape route from the iconic film. The race, which is unofficial, takes runners through the neon-drenched streets of the Bronx, Harlem, Times Square and the Bowery before crossing over the Brooklyn Bridge and making its way to Coney Island, where the race finishes on the beach at dawn. Distances vary between 28-30 miles.
For the 2021 race, the winners of the 2019 and 2020 event will be placed on a special Warriors Elite Team, which will be given a head's start before being chased by the entire field through the streets of NYC.

The Warriors UltraRun was founded by Todd Aydelotte, an NYC ultrarunner and devoted fan of the film, who ran the route by himself in 2018. After press reports, ultrarunning fans of the Warriors from throughout the world joined him for the first official Warriors UltraRun, which was held on September 21st 2019.

The 2020 Warriors Ultra Steering Committee is a group of brilliant, bad-ass NYC ultrarunners who pool their talents to build and advance this unusual race, and ensure it stays true to the spirit of the film -- thanks to Dan Zimerman, Kate Strachnyi, Peter Schwing, Ntino Krampis, Kumi Shibata

No, runners stop at all-night bodegas for fuel and 7-11's for bathrooms
Is there security?
No, there is not, nor are there street closings. It's an unofficial race and everyone is responsible for their own safety
