Coming Summer 2020

About The Race

History

The Warriors UltraRun was founded in August, 2018, when Todd Aydelotte, a New York-based ultrarunner and devoted fan of The Warriors, ran 28 miles from The Bronx to Coney Island in the middle of the night, retracing the escape route from the iconic film. After a Runner's World profile, ultrarunning Warriors fans from across the US joined him for the first official Warriors UltraRun, which was held on September 21, 2019.

Route

There is no official route for this gritty, neon-drenched run through the streets of NYC. Instead, after a Conclave, held in Van Cortland Park at 1 AM, runners escape to Coney Island, taking any route they choose, passing through the 96th Street and Union Square subway stations before finishing on the beach at Coney Island at dawn. Distances vary from 27-29 miles.
